Dr Djavid Alleemudder

I was appointed as a consultant at Ipswich Hospital in May 2015.

I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2003 and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2006. I completed a seven-year specialist training programme in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in January 2015.

My main area of interest is the investigation and management of infertile couples. I spent more than three years gaining experience in the field of reproductive medicine and assisted conception in Salisbury and Southampton.

I have introduced a service for Fallopian tubal testing using ultrasound at Ipswich Hospital. I am working in close collaboration with Cambridge IVF to introduce assisted conception treatments to Ipswich Hospital including intrauterine insemination and satellite IVF.

I am a Consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with advanced training in subfertility and reproductive health. I graduated from Glasgow University medical school in 2009 and completed my obstetrics and gynaecology training (Certificate of Completion of Training) in London. During this time, I completed advanced training in subfertility and reproductive health, and clinical fellowship in reproductive medicine at Barts Health Centre for Reproductive Medicine, London. I became member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015 and enrolled in the specialist register of the General Medical Council in 2021.

I have a strong interest in research, especially in fibroid and oocyte cryopreservation, having published in peer reviewed journals. I have worked and gained experience in many NHS assisted conception clinics in London, before joining ESNEFT Fertility Monitoring Unit, Ipswich in February 2022. My area of expertise includes fertility investigations and treatment, early pregnancy and acute gynaecology, ultrasound scanning and minimally invasive surgeries.
